Er befindet sich im Bundesstaat <a href="Sabah" title="Sabah">Sabah</a>, 18 Kilometer nordöstlich des <a href="Kinabalu" title="Kinabalu">Kinabalu</a>. Der Tambuyukon ist Teil der Gebirgskette <i>Crocker Range</i>.
